Pierre Bouchard was inducted September 12 while Kelly Drew, District Governor, was visiting our club.
Pierre Bouchard is a lifelong Vermonter who grew up on a dairy farm in Sheldon. He is one of eight siblings and one of his brothers still runs the family farm. Pierre has been married for 30 years to Diane and they have two adult daughters, living out of Vermont.
He worked for IBM for over 35 years holding various positions in the company, including management. He left IBM in 2021 and works presently at Vermont Information Processing as Production Operations Engineer. Pierre has degrees in mathematics, business and electronics.
Pierre has led a life full of adventure and, notably, in 2007 took 6 weeks and drove the family cross country hauling a camper, doing 10,000 miles. He has seen the Easternmost point of the Continental United states, and the Northernmost and Southernmost points of the United States.

Finally, he noted that the day after his 60th birthday, he successfully tested for his Fourth Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do.
Pierre was introduced to Rotary by George Donovan whom he has known since the mid-2000s’. Pierre expects to retire in a year or so and wants to be involved in the community where he can feel helpful and engaged.
